I love photography
I'm a student photographer currently studying photography at Colchester School of Art. For many years, photography has been a massive part or my life. I take my camera everywhere I go because I never know what I might come across while being out and about.
At school we get to pick subjects we want to study, I originally picked art, after about a year of doing fine art I realised that my interest lay elsewhere and that's when I changed to studying photography. I learnt very fast, starting with the basic camera, different styles, I used my spare time to research more in-depth techniques around photography. Photography then started to become more interesting to me and I would go out whenever I had spare time and photograph anything. I’d take photos at family, school events and anything else I could get my camera out for, I showed friends, family and teachers my work taking constructive feedback to improve my work.
once leaving school I knew I wanted to carry on with photography, which had taken over my life. I chose to study this further at Colchester School of Art.
I’m learning so much every day and looking into the concept of images, and what makes a photo stand out. Portraits are something I’m concentrating on and I’m getting a lot of positive feedback about my work. I love using different light techniques to create the scene of an image. A lot of photographers have a specific style that they shoot in, that being street photography, portrait, landscape to mention a few. But I love trying new things and I don't really have a style that I shoot in, I use loads of different styles as to me the art of photography is being able to take a photo of something that appeals to persons viewing the image, we each have a different style that appeals to us and what we would like to see.
